A suspect was arrested for large-scale cybercrime estafa for allegedly posing as a government liaison coordinator for the Department of Transportation.
According to a statement released by the DOTr on Saturday, Muntinlupa resident Peejay Giganto Durano was arrested after accepting marked money during an entrapment operation staged by the Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region on July 31.
Sioson claimed that he could facilitate the processing of Land Transportation Office licensing and registration of the motor vehicles needed for a franchising business and asked for a P405,000 processing fee.
