The Arewa Youth Assembly has clashed with the Coalition of Northern Youths Organization over the call made to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sack Engr. Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA.
Following the reports of the importation of toxic fuel into country, the Coalition of Northern Youths Organization had called for immediate sack of the NMDPRA boss.
reported that Nigeria Citizens' Watch for Good Governance had also in a statement signed by its National President, Eshiofeh Collins, claimed that substandard petroleum products are being imported from Russia via Malta, blended, and shipped to Nigeria, violating the Petroleum Industry Act, PIA, and putting the health of Nigerians at risk. They called for immediate investigation by the authorities, threatening to occupy filling stations across the country.
