Alleged details belonging to AMD's soon-to-launch Ryzen Strix Point and Strix Halo processors. Both are based on the Zen5 architecture, as we're expecting it

Alleged details belonging to AMD's soon-to-launch Ryzen Strix Point and Strix Halo processors. Both are based on the Zen5 architecture, as we're expecting it to but as leaks always do, the supposed specs gives us a better understanding what we can expect.

Starting with Strix Point, we could be looking at an APU with up to 12-cores, 24-threads, a 24MB L3 Cahce, and eight Work Group Processors based on the RDNA3.5 architecture, which is around 16 Compute Units . For comparison, that's a significant upgrade over AMD's Phoenix Point and Hawk Point APUs, which feature up to eight Zen4 Cores and eight RDNA3 CUs.The leak also loosely confirms that Strix Point will support AMD's XDNA2 AI-Accelerator, offering up to 50 TOPs.

As for the Strix Halo APU, it's apparent this is the top-tier processor of the two, sporting 16 Zen5 CPU cores, 32MB L3 Cache per CCD that is presumed to be in pairs, 20 WGP RDNA3.5 cores, which translates to 40 CUs. Additionally, it has a more power than XDNA2 AI-Accelerator, offering up to 60 TOPs. Lastly, it will also support DisplayPort 2.1 specs, up to UHBR20 transmissions.
