'These little rare special moments of Black solidarity and excitement really do something for me.'

It was this wholesome moment that inspired award-winning filmmaker and journalist Kellee Terrell to share a tweet highlighting how easy it is to tell when a Black nominee has won when the presenter of the award is also Black.

I spoke with Kellee and she shared what influenced the viral tweet, which has now gained over 73,000 likes. "I always watch awards shows, so as Issa said, 'I am always rooting for everyone Black.' I’ve noticed over the years, as more Black actors and actresses win these awards, how different the body language is when the presenter is also Black." she told BuzzFeed.

"My personal favourite was in 2019, when Angela Bassett and Peter Krause from 9-1-1 presented the award for Lead Actor in A Limited Series or Made for Television Movie. The look of relief on her face when she opened that envelope spoke volumes." Kellee said."So with that in mind, I noticed the same thing during the Globes, first with Jennifer Hudson with Angela Bassett and then with Niecy Nash with Quinta.
