IPOH: All forest reserves in Perak will be temporarily closed as the monsoon season has begun.
Perak Forestry deputy director Ramli Mat said the North-East monsoon transition phase had started in September and is expected to last until early 2021.
"We are worried trees could be uprooted and soil erosion, which could potentially harm visitors," he said in a statement on Thursday . "Bukit Kledang has become an eco-tourist spot and also has several public facilities. After much consideration, we have decided to only close the forest trails.
