'Dancing With the Stars' host Alfonso Ribeiro recently suffered a concussion during his son's baseball game: 'Boom — a ball to the back of my head.'

. "I was standing off to the side and I'm putting someone's number in my phone, and boom — a ball to the back of my head. Right in the back."

Ribeiro added that he went "down" as soon as he was hit. "For like, three days, I'm like, 'Huh? Wha?'" he said, jokingly adding, "My wife seems to think it was just me saying I didn't want to do nothing at the house. It wasn't that. It was a good hit."Elsewhere in the episode, Ribeiro said he was no longer coaching his son's baseball team, though the concussion had nothing to do with it.

When asked what he does when his kids strike out, Ribeiro said he still roots for them in a positive manner: "Baseball is a game of failure, so the best players in history strike out or get out seven out of 10 times. It's not a game that's always going to work out for you. So failure is the tools you use for success.", which is set to premiere its 32nd season on Sept. 26.
