Alain Prost sold his 1989 Ferrari F40 shortly after taking delivery of it after moving to the Ferrari team car auto cars
says the car was then purchased by Graham de Zille who also owned a number of other Ferrari models at the time. When he picked up the keys, he had Prost sign the roof and the signature is still visible today.
De Zille originally owned the car in the UK and had the odometer replaced from kilometers to miles. He then brought it over to New Jersey and it was later featured in an issue of Motor Sport magazine. In 1999, the car returned to the UK where it was sold and passed through the hands of numerous owners until 2016, the same year that it was granted Ferrari Classiche certification.
