An argument between two women left one of them - a police officer’s wife - dead and the other in jail.
Greenville Police Chief Justin Lovvorn said the dispute happened Saturday night at a gathering in Butler County.
According to witnesses, the two women got into an argument. It escalated when one of the women got into her car to leave and struck the other woman.Lovvorn said she was a mother, and the wife of one of his officers. The officer was not at the gathering, the chief said.Charging documents state the killing happened at 150 Pecan Road, just outside of Greenville’s city limits.
