AKRON, Ohio — A worker in a store in the East Akron neighborhood was left bloodied and battered when he was attacked while trying to stop a group of juveniles who were causing havoc and stealing items, police say. The worker at the unspecified store on the 900 block of South Arlington Avenue tells police that six to seven juveniles arrived at about 9:30 p.m. The juveniles went through the store while yelling, throwing items and stealing merchandise, police say.
When the worker told the juveniles to leave, they began throwing things at him, police say. The worker said he was calling police and attempted to lock the door so the juveniles couldn’t leave.
