HAMBURG: AirAsia’s first A321neo will bring the airline one step closer to sustainable aviation.
New kid on the block: Veranita and representatives from Airbus and CFM International standing next to the A321neo aircraft in Hamburg.The A321neo, which was received during a delivery ceremony here in Germany, will enable AirAsia to offer higher capacity in response to ongoing strong demand across its network.This is the first aircraft out of the 353 ordered from Airbus that was delivered yesterday and will be part of AirAsia’s plans to convert from its current A320neo to the larger A321neo.
AirAsia Indonesia chief executive officer Veranita Yosephine said the A321neo was truly a remarkable aircraft incorporating the very latest technology. “With the 25% increase in capacity and 10% reduction in cost per seat, the A321neo will enable us to maintain low fares so ‘everyone can fly!’
