AirAsia projected to lose RM1.1 billion due to virus outbreak
CGS-CIMB Research is projecting losses of up to RM1.1 billion for AirAsia due to the Covid-19 outbreak, as travel bans to and from China have disrupted flight demands. – EPA pic, February 18, 2020.The Edge Markets reportsThe business daily reported CGS-CIMB Research’s note that the losses were based on lower demand and yields in the group’s operations in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
