KUNAK: Muhamad Khairul Hussainie Muhamad, a Primary Four pupil at SK Mostyn, was the recipient of the school’s Anugerah Ikon Kokurikulum during the Pupil Excellence Appreciation Ceremony, recently.
Known as MK to his friends and teachers, he achieved several honours in Taekwondo at both national and international levels. These include finishing second in the MBW International Taekwondo Championship 2023, which at the Titiwangsa Statidum in Kuala Lumpur last August while a Blue Belt holder.

“This is because this club not only paves the way for trainees like MK, but also strives to assist them through long-term collaboration programmes such as exposure to training and tournaments in the country or overseas. “Empire Taekwondo Club is scheduled to compete in tournaments and undertake intensive training in Korea in August,” he said.
“I hope my son will one day have the opportunity to achieve his dream of representing Sabah in the sport at the Sukma Games or perhaps even the country at international level,” he said.
