Self-employed Muhammad Jantan, 28, said he had been setting aside RM2,500 a month to buy the three-year-old"King of Sado", Sinar Harian reported.
According to him, he had found out about the bull from a friend and it was shipped to Melaka on Wednesday with food and 500kg of sawdust for its comfort. Muhammad told Sinar Harian that the owner was initially reluctant to sell the bull, which had also picked up the"King of Sado" title at the Northern Sado Cattle Gathering 2022 and 2023, and only consented if it was to be used in the sacrificial rite."Initially, he was reluctant to sell it but when I explained that it was for the sacrificial rite, he relented," he told Sinar Harian on Thursday .
The father of two said he had chosen the giant bull this year so that he could distribute the meat to more people from the asnaf and B40 groups nearby. "We have also prepared more volunteers for the rite, including cooperation from the mosque which will help distribute the meat to more than 200 people," he said.
