SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Related: Ahsoka: Cast, Story Details & Everything We Know The latest issue of Empire Magazine finally reveals some information about Baylan Skoll. According to Empire , he "was once a Jedi before turning mercenary for hire after surviving Order 66." This reveal adds more context to the character's debut in Ahsoka, making their inevitable showdown much more personal - and, of course, it raises the possibility Ahsoka and Baylan have a history from their time in the Jedi Order.
Baylan Skoll is still something of a mystery, with the late Ray Stevenson strongly suggesting he has his own agenda rather than simply working for Thrawn. But this latest revelation helps to understand his background as a character because it means his villainy is born of trauma. Ahsoka is sure to develop a fascinating rivalry between former Jedi who walk different paths.
