DOH attributes rise in number of new COVID19 cases this week to 'aggressive' validation
Watch more in iWant or TFC.tv MAYNILA — Nitong mga nagdaang araw, naitala ang sunod-sunod na matataas na bilang ng mga positibo sa COVID-19, ilang araw na lang bago maisailalim sa general community quarantine ang Metro Manila.
Sa graph ng ABS-CBN Data Analytics na pinagbasehan ang datos ng DOH, makikitang halos kalahati ng mga naitalang kaso ay mga repatriates at marami ang taga-National Capital Region. "The cases that were reported over the last few days reflect tests that were conducted the days and weeks prior. The reporting lag is due to delays in submission of results by laboratories and the manual verification process to ensure that each case is a unique individual," ayon sa kagawaran.
"We expect the numbers to continue to rise over the coming days as we continue catching up with the backlog in validation and as we conduct more tests nationwide," anila. Sabi ni DOH spokesperson Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, mahalagang maintindihan na magkaiba ang backlog sa test at 'yung mga positibong kaso na kailangan sumailalim sa validation.
