PETALING JAYA: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has increased his stake in Citaglobal Bhd to 9.025% after acquiring 1.21 million shares on Tuesday.

According to multiple filings with Bursa Malaysia, Sultan Abdullah had raised his equity in Citaglobal to 8.59% last Friday, to 8.74% on Monday, and finally 9.025% on Tuesday.The Agong emerged as a substantial shareholder of Citaglobal back in September 2019. Both firms reportedly have strong prospects to secure a solar panel engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract worth RM300 million.

Those areas include battery energy storage systems , biogas engine, biomass engineering, waste-to-energy, heat-to-energy and carbon capture and utilisation.
