KUALA LUMPUR 16 Mac - Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Sultan Ahmad Shah memandang serius insiden pembuangan sisa di Sungai Kim Kim, Pasir Gudang, Johor yang sehingga kini telah menyebabkan lebih 4,000 orang menjadi mangsa kesan pencemaran tersebut.

Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja, Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin berkata, Seri Paduka Baginda berdoa dan berharap agar 480 mangsa yang terkini dilaporkan menjalani rawatan saringan awal di Medic Base, Stadium Tertutup Pasir Gudang berupaya menjalani proses pemeriksaan dengan baik. “Seri Paduka turut menzahirkan rasa simpati terhadap mangsa yang dimasukkan ke hospital disebabkan kesan sisa toksik dan mendoakan agar semuanya akan kembali pulih seperti sediakala.

“Yang di-Pertuan Agong juga memohon supaya seluruh rakyat Malaysia berdoa supaya keadaan pencemaran sisa toksik di Pasir Gudang tidak akan mengakibatkan keadaan yang lebih memudaratkan demi kesejahteraan penduduk setempat,” katanya menerusi kenyataan Istana Negara di sini hari ini. Ahmad Fadil berkata, Seri Paduka Baginda juga menzahirkan ucapan terima kasih dan menyokong tindakan segera yang telah diambil oleh kerajaan negeri dan agensi-agensi berkait khususnya Kementerian Kesihatan, Kementerian Tenaga, Sains, Teknologi, Alam Sekitar dan Perubahan Iklim, Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat serta jabatan-jabatan lain yang berkaitan.-UTUSAN ONLINE
