AGC leads compensation talks with China firms over aborted gas pipeline projects

THE Attorney General’s Chambers is leading negotiations for Malaysia with China-based contractors on the compensation amount owed over two cancelled gas pipeline projects approved by the Najib Razak administration. Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the ministry’s subsidiary, Suria Strategic Energy Resources Sdn Bhd , which carried out the project, has to compensate two Chinese contractors over the Multi-Product Pipeline and Trans-Sabah Gas Pipeline projects.
