Kenneth Branagh returns as Agatha Christie’s famed detective Hercule Poirot in a new scare-filled trailer for the horror-themed A Haunting in Venice.
The full-length trailer for A Haunting in Venice has now been released, teasing an Agatha Christie murder mystery that delves fully into horror. After first playing famed detective Hercule Poirot in 2017's Murder on the Orient Express, Branagh returned last year in Death on the Nile. Now with a new cast of characters and a new murder to solve in Italy, Poirot's next case sees him tackling the supernatural, with Branagh once again also on directing duties.
The trailer shows off the film's impressive supporting cast and teases that it won't shy away from including some actual jump-scares, which is something not featured in the franchise before. Regarding the suspects, the new trailer shows off the A Haunting in Venice cast that Poirot will be investigating. Tina Fey, who plays Ariadne, will seemingly be the one who recruits the detective to attend a séance. Michelle Yeoh's Mrs. Reynolds will be the one leading the séance, with other new characters played by Jamie Dornan, Kelly Reilly, Kyle Allen, Amir El-Masry, Ali Khan, and Jude Hill also present.
