KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 ― After an illustrious 27-year music career, Malaysia’s top songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza wants to expand her role and help upcoming local music artists.
“I am grateful for what I have accomplished but it is past the time for me to compete with incredible up-and-coming young talents,” the singer said. “Besides that, if I have the means, I want Malaysian music to return to the international stage such as the Royal Albert Hall, the plan is there but we are not rushing,” Siti added.
She said singing for charity and fundraising concerts for the poor has brought her great satisfaction and she will continue to do so.
