Yesterday, Aer Lingus announced that it will be forced to cancel between 10-20% of flights between Wednesday 26 June and Sunday 30 June, due to strike action by pilots over a pay dispute
Aer Lingus passengers who have been impacted by the planned pilot strike will find out today if their flight has been cancelled, RTE reports.
"Implementing these cancellations is to enable us to protect as many services as possible for as many of our customers as possible," Aer Lingus said in a statement. Pilots who are members of the Irish Airline Pilots Association gave notice to Aer Lingus via their union that, from next Wednesday, they are not working overtime or "any other out of hours duties requested by management".
