PETALING JAYA: It's advantage Pahang after the Super League side beat Perak 3-1 in the first leg FA Cup semi-final match at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan on Saturday.

The defending champions were imperious at home, as they look to qualify for their third straight FA Cup final.

In the 21st minute, Perak should have equalised when Helmi Eliza Elias' loose clearance found Norhakim, but the 28-year-old flunked his opportunity by slicing his shot wide. In the dying minutes of the first half, Ronaldo Silva should have scored Perak first goal as he received a brilliant cross from Parthiban, but the Brazilian could not connect to the ball.

Pahang could have scored their third goal of the match when a brilliant passage of play by Pahang saw Matthew Davies unleashing a thunderous shot from the right, but it cannoned off the bar in the 73rd minute.
