Kill Bill 3, which Tarantino has been teasing for years, isn't happening. As hard as it may be to admit it, that's what's best for the franchise.
After 19 years of teasing, Quentin Tarantino has finally ruled out chances of a third Kill Bill happening, and the movie's official shutdown is actually a good thing. Ever since the release of the first movie in 2003 and its second chapter the following year, Kill Bill has cemented itself as one of the most recognizable cinematic series in modern movie history.
Infused with Tarantino's trademark style, Kill Bill recounts the revenge story of Beatrix "the Bride" Kiddo as she embarks on a mission to eliminate all members of her former assassination squad after they leave her in a coma, with their leader, Bill , being her ultimate, most coveted target.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Kill Bill 3 Sounded Cool, But Never Really Needed To Happen Although Tarantino's definitive dismissal of Kill Bill: Volume 3 may be a letdown in some way, the decision to stop at two makes sense. Given Kill Bill's great characters and riveting concept, the idea of Kill Bill 3 was certainly appealing for several reasons, but not enough to make the movie necessary.
Through her mastery of martial arts, The Bride concluded her violent journey with an impressive body count on her shoulders, and, most importantly, by killing Bill. Viewers are provided with the satisfying, cathartic final act that typifies Tarantino's filmography in Kill Bill: Volume 2, which makes the non-essential quality of a threequel all the more evident.
All things considered, Kill Bill 3 not happening is probably for the best. If Quentin Tarantino's ten-movie promise is maintained, it makes much more sense for this groundbreaking filmmaker to end his career with a new, significant project rather than with a sequel.
