The industrial action is part of an ongoing campaign for better pay and working conditions for South Australian transport workers. Negotiations with private transport operator Torrens Connect have stalled as workers seek a 3 per cent pay increase, according to the Rail, Tram and Bus Union. Adelaide footy fans have been warned that there may be delays getting home from tonight's AFL game as tram workers go on strike.

Matildas fans heading into the Festival Plaza live site for tonight's World Cup third-place playoff will also be impacted by the strikes. Replacement buses will run, however, fans have been warned that travel and wait times will be longer.
