Adelaide Aquilla brought home her fourth national shot put title on Saturday, continuing to stake her claim as one of the greatest track and field athletes in Ohio State history.
In what has become an annual tradition, Adelaide Aquilla was crowned shot put national champion once again.
On the second and final day of the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, a familiar face brought some more hardware back to Columbus. Aquilla further cemented herself as one of the greatest athletes in school history by winning the fourth national shot put title of her storied career. On her final throw of the event, Aquilla shattered her own indoor school record with a throw of 19.28 meters, edging out Axelina Johansson of Nebraska for first place. The Buckeye legend sat in fifth place entering the last round.
