Adamson University swept the athletics’ events of the Philippine Navy, while St. Jude College of Quezon City dominated the Air Force competition at the end of the athletics events of the Philippine ROTC Games National Capital Region Leg at the Philsports track oval in Pasig City.
Both Jardin and Dacunes later on worked with John Martin and Alexander Padilla to win the men’s 4x-100-m relay in 44.50 seconds as well as the 4×400-m relay with a clocking of 3.38.87 seconds. Adamson amassed a total of eight gold medals in athletics, three each from Jardin and Dacunes and two from Guergio. However, athletics officials said the Adamson women’s relay team in the 4×100-m and 4×400-m are still advancing into the national finals on Oct. 22 to 26 in Marikina City.
Other gold medalists were Mac James Angoring of Rizal Technological University in the Army’s 200-m run and Josie Inemendo of University of the Philippines-Diliman in the Army’s women’s 200-m run. Also shining in the competition were Bendren Yssulan of PATTS College of Aeronautics in the Air Force’ men’s 100-m dash John Kevin Mina of Philippine State College of Aeronautics also wrapped the gold in the PAF’ 200-m run .
