Adam Driver attached to play young Robert DeNiro in ‘Heat 2’
The 39-year-old is in advanced talks to star in “Heat 2” — the sequel to Michael Mann’s 1995 film “Heat.”
“House of Gucci” star Driver would appear in the new movie as a young Neil McCauley, played by Robert De Niro in the original “Heat.” Driver’s name is the only name attached to “Heat 2” at this time, though there has been some chatter about Pacino returning to the sequel and Ana de Armas joining to play Driver’s love interest, Deadline reported.
Micheal Mann wrote “Heat 2” with co-author Meg Gardiner. The narrative acts as a prequel to the previous story as well as a sequel and takes place between 1988 and 2000.,” which is based on the life of Italian car mogul Enzo Ferrari.
