PUTRAJAYA: The health ministry today said the number of active cases had fallen below 100, although three new cases were detected, pushing the total to 8,643.Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said two of the new cases were local transmissions, involving foreigners, while one was an imported case, involving a Malaysian.
With no new Covid-19-related casualties, the death toll remains at 121. Noor Hisham also said two patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit , with both of them requiring respiratory assistance. A total of 62 patients were discharged, bringing the total number of patients discharged so far to 8,437, or 97.6% of total cases.
