KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani is officially the new Inspector-General of Police.
He took over the post from Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador, who served as IGP since May 2019.
The event was witnessed by deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Mohamed Said, who represented Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin. In his last press conference on Friday , the outgoing IGP dropped a bombshell when he said that ministers should not interfere in the management of the police force.
