Acne-shaming is alive and well in the workplace.

“I couldn’t imagine continuing to work for a company that would pull me into their office about a skin condition that is very clearly out of my control,” Wester said, adding that the conversation made her feel extra self-conscious because she did not know who raised the concern. “You go around feeling even more insecure than before because you’re thinking, ‘Well shoot, it could be this person, could be this person.’ It adds so much stress on top of an already stressful job.
