The man suspected of murdering Toyah Cordingley is on his way back to Queensland to face charges after he was extradited by Australian authorities. 9News

Rajwinder Singh, who arrived in Melbourne from India yesterday following a years-long search, faced an extradition hearing that approved his transfer to Queensland.

He boarded a private charter flight this morning from Essendon Fields airport, where he was surrounded by police, after spending the night in custody.Singh has denied any involvement in Cordingley's death, and has said during extradition hearings he wished to return to Australia to fight the charges against him.

Cordingley's father found her body in the dunes of Wangetti beach, north of Cairns, in October 2018, a day after she vanished while walking her dog.
