The driver involved in the fatal accident that claimed the life of Aysar Zahran Saiful Alimin, the top scorer for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Foundation in Accountancy ( ACCA FIA ) examinations, has been released on police bail. The 27-year-old man was taken into custody after the crash, which occurred along Jalan Hulu Langat-Ampang at approximately 4:45 pm on Sunday, February 2nd. He was questioned by authorities and remanded for a day before being granted bail.

According to Kajang OCPD ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof, the driver tested negative for drugs and has no prior criminal record. The investigation is ongoing, pending reports from Puspakom (Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre) and the Chemistry Department. Aysar Zahran, 20, was riding his motorcycle when it was struck by a Perodua Alza that veered into oncoming traffic during a six-vehicle collision. He had achieved remarkable success in his academic pursuits, securing the top spot in Malaysia and placing second globally for the Management Information 1 (MA1) paper in the FIA ACCA examinations in December 2023.
