Presidennya, Mohamad Raimi Ab. Rahim berkata, ABIM menilai penyertaan serta ratifikasi tersebut sebagai isyarat jelas komitmen negara untuk memastikan keamanan sejagat dipelihara dengan menjunjung nilai keadilan dan hak asasi tanpa sebarang kompromi.
“Besar harapan ABIM agar hak serta kedudukan Malaysia dalam ICC dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menegakkan keadilan serta membela hak asasi umat Islam di seluruh dunia khususnya di Palestin, etnik Rohingya, Syria, serta etnik Uyghur yang menderita akibat kezaliman serta penindasan pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab.
Kerajaan Malaysia semalam menerusi Menteri Luar, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah telah menandatangani Instrumen Kesertaan untuk Malaysia menyertai Statut Rome.
