Abdul Razak ketika ditemui bertekad memberi fokus terhadap pendekatan dan usaha memastikan ketenteraman awam, keselamatan terjaga supaya masyarakat akan hidup dalam keadaan selamat Menurutnya, Mersing banyak perbezaannya dengan daerah lain seperti Johor Bahru, Kulai, Kluang dan Seri Alam.
