KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 — PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said today that the Islamist party has never neglected development in states it administered, but shifted the blame to the federal government and bureaucracy for stymying intended progress.
“Financial management in accordance with the Federal Constitution, agreements, and democratic principles are not respected,” he said in a statement on Facebook. He claimed that Umno-Barisan Nasional which previously ruled Kelantan between 1978 and 1990 had all the financial resources at their disposal yet problems faced by the poorest state in Malaysia remained unresolved.
