KUALA LUMPUR: Men's doubles world champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik battled into the second round of the Malaysian Open badminton championships at the Axiata Arena on Wednesday.
Aaron-Wooi Yik, the world No. 3, staged a fightback after losing the first game against Taiwan's Lee Jhe-huei-Yang Po-hsuan before securing a 16-21, 21-15, 21-16 win in 56 minutes.
Sze Fei-Izzuddin lost 16-21, 21-11, 21-17 to China’s Liang Weikeng-Wang Chang while Marcus Fernaldi-Kevin Sanjaya of Indonesia defeated Wei Chong-Kai Wun 21-18, 23-21.
