The New York Jets quarterback released a statement saying he has never held the opinion that the events 'did not take place,' calling it a 'tragedy.'
Professional NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared to be doing damage control due to possible U.S. political ambitions, responding publicly to allegations that he floated conspiracy theories that the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting didn't happen.
The New York Jets quarterback said,"I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place." Rodgers said on X on Thursday,"I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community."
