In the Chinese zodiac, 2025 welcomes the Year of the Snake

PETALING JAYA: As Malaysians celebrate Chinese New Year today, leaders from various political backgrounds have come together to emphasise the country’s cherished values of unity, harmony, and mutual respect.

“I would like to wish the Chinese community in Malaysia, xin nian kuai le , guo nian hao , nian nian hao , and xin xiang shi cheng ,” he said.Anwar reiterated his vision of fostering unity among Malaysians during the celebrations, emphasising that the Chinese New Year should not only be enjoyed by the Chinese community but also embraced by all Malaysians.

“No matter what our background is, we are all Malaysians. The culture and traditions we share are not only our strength, but also a symbol of our pride as a harmonious nation. Fadillah said unity and harmony among races are the foundation of the country’s stability, prosperity, and wealth. Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul urged Malaysians to embrace the values of transformation and agility to overcome obstacles and forge a future filled with progress.
