SHAH ALAM: A 32-year-old Russian woman, believed to be walking her dog, was detained for acting indecently and obstructing traffic in Setia Alam.Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the arrest of the foreign woman has since gone viral on social media.

"We received a call from the public that a woman was acting strangely and sitting in the middle of the road in Setia Alam at about 4.50pm on Wednesday . "A team of police personnel arrived on scene and discovered the woman was drunk and acting aggressively. She also had a dog with her," he said in a statement on Friday .

Further checks revealed that the woman had no identification documents and she was subsequently detained, he said. "She was brought to Shah Alam district police headquarters while her dog was handed over to Shah Alam City Council.The woman entered the country four years ago for a vacation but did not manage to return to her country of origin due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he said."She tested positive for THC and has been remanded until Oct 22," he said.
