A loaded 2023 Prius Prime costs $42,325.
is shaping up to be a hit. It's got 220 hp, 44 miles of electric range, and—for the first time in Prius history—a sleek, attractive design. The only real negative versus the previous car is the price. While the 2022 Prius Prime started at $29,865 with the required destination charge, the new one kicks off at $33,870.
That's a noticeable jump, but when you consider that the new Prius has 99 more hp to use , a much nicer interior, better handling, a cooler design, a quieter cabin, and 19 more miles of all-electric range, it seems reasonable. Top-flight XSE Premium models get even more gadgets, like an optional digital rear-view mirror, heated and ventilated front seats, available heated rear seats, and a parking assistance system with automatic braking. Option every feature and the MSRP hits $42,325.
