January 25, 2023 | 12:05 amPARIS — A wardrobe owned by a Parisian woman who rubbed elbows with Yves Saint Laurent and other famous French designers is up for online auction at Christie’s as Haute Couture week kicks off in Paris.
The most valued item in the sale is a purple velvet dress designed by Lagerfeld for Chanel for the 1988 winter collection. A velvet bustier evening dress, from Saint Laurent’s 1984-1985 haute couture collection, is also up for sale.
