Three months since Eunice Dwumfour was gunned down outside her townhouse, the mystery surrounding her death continues
has stopped attending council meetings in person since the murder out of fear for her well-being.
“Nobody is asking who their suspects are. But for God sake, do you have a suspect? Are you looking at multiple people or a particular types of people? They’re not telling anybody anything,” Wisniewski said. “In the absence of any hard information, speculation runs rampant.”“Presumably, the prosecutor has that. The Garden State Parkway has video surveillance. There are so many places for progress in the investigation. To have this be no further along is very concerning,” he said.
“That’s a pretty bold statement,” Higgins observed. “That would suggest they had some kind of lead. I don’t think you can say that the general public is not at risk if they don’t know who it is.” The town was on edge after the murders and there, too, police gave no motive or indicated that there was even a person of interest on their radar. One victim’s father had begun publicly criticizing investigators.
Higgins said investigators may also remain silent if a suspect flees the country, unwilling to say anything until the individual is apprehended.Kingston Coventry in Parsippany
