While the Power Rangers are known for their flashy and effective martial arts skills, some Power Rangers actors were trained martial artists long before earning their roles. These actors not only played a Power Ranger at some point in time, but also became proficient in some form of martial arts before stepping into the franchise. In this way, they are martial artists both on-screen and beyond it as well.
8 Austin St. John In 1993, Austin St. John originated the role of the Jason Lee Scott, the Red Power Ranger, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. While St. John left the series in 1994 due to problems on set, he reprised his role several times.
