Laid-off workers are showing confidence they'll be rehired, says M_C_Klein

More than 33 million Americans have filed initial claims for unemployment benefits since the coronavirus started tanking the economy in mid-March, which means more than a fifth of the 150 million people in the workforce lost a job in the span of seven weeks. While 30% of those workers have since found new jobs, that still means there are more than 20 million jobless Americans.
