Sky News reporter Laura Jayes says Jacinda Ardern is “tired”, as she has been Prime Minister of New Zealand for nearly six years and has been seeking a third term since November of last year.
“Obviously, over the Christmas break, she’s had to think about that, and she’s decided against it,” Ms Jayes said.
“She says she knows that she’s not the best person to lead the Labour Party in New Zealand going forward, and fair enough.”
