Seven Republican candidates vying to become the next president gathered in California for the second GOP debate, which Mr Trump was absent for. Republican candidates took aim at the former president over his absence from the debate. “Donald Trump is almost surely going to be the Republican nominee,” Mr Morrow told Sky News Australia. “But this debate here – I just thought it was a terrible waste of time, I think it was a waste of time especially for the Republicans … who have absolutely zero chance of becoming a nominee.”
