Assistant Treasurer Stephen Jones says it is for the Reserve Bank to explain its policy to Australians after its 12th interest rate rise from 13 meetings.

“The government is doing what we can to ensure that we don’t add to the inflation problem,” Mr Jones told Sky News Australia. “The Reserve Bank will explain or should explain its strategy – it is not for the government to attempt to do that.”
