Three people were taken to a hospital after the Thursday afternoon crash on Route 22.
An 80-year-old woman died Thursday afternoon when the car she was riding in turned in front of oncoming Route 22 traffic in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania State Police said.
A vehicle headed west on Route 22 crashed into the passenger side of Smith’s car, killing his front-seat passenger, Alice K. Smith, 80, of Grantville, according to state police. Alice Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Vernie Smith, Sorrels-Shellenhamer and her 70-year-old male passenger were injured and taken to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, state police said.
