State Education, Technology, Science and Environmental committee chairman Dr Abdul Aziz Bari said it involved 47 schools in five districts namely Manjung, Kinta, Larut, Matang dan Selama; Bagan Datuk and Perak Tengah.
"Kinta recorded the highest number of cases with 34, followed by Bagan Datuk and Larut, Matang and Selama ," he said. Abdul Aziz said as of today, only Sekolah Menengah Sains Teluk Intan was forced to close until Sunday . He said the action was in line with the Education Ministry's standard operating procedure when there were students who tested positive for Influenza A.
