MANILA: At least 700,000 devotees flocked to Quiapo Church in Manila to observe Good Friday.
According to Sandra Aguinaldo’s “24 Oras report”, some of the attendees joined the early morning procession of the image of the Black Nazarene, while others reflected on the Seven Last Words of Christ at the church before attending the Holy Mass.“As we look upon the Lord, we should realize that these are the hardships he went through for us. As we reflect on this love, we should be inspired to change and be true to his love,” said Fr. Jesus Madrid, Quiapo Church Parochial Vicar.
